Solutions Limited in Somerset is seeking a Stock Controller or Inventory Specialist for a hands-on role supporting manufacturing lines. You will maintain real-time inventory records, manage stock rotation, and ensure timely deliveries to production.

The role offers a Monday–Friday day shift with flexibility on start/finish times; suitable for organised logistics professionals. Applicants must have forklift licence and strong accuracy, with good IT skills to track inventory.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Stock Control, Inventory Control, or Stores Officer.
• Experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, or temperature-controlled logistics preferred.
• Valid forklift licence/certification.
• Strong accuracy and attention to detail with documentation.
• Good physical fitness and ability to work in a busy warehouse.
• Reliable, self-motivated and able to organise daily workloads independently.
• Solid communication and basic computer literacy for inventory tracking.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring and maintaining accurate real-time inventory records across all product lines
• Managing stock rotation and warehouse organisation to minimise waste and optimise space
• Receiving incoming deliveries, inspecting goods for quality, and completing receiving paperwork
• Picking, batching, and preparing materials to support daily production schedules
• Operating material handling equipment and forklifts to safely transfer and store goods
• Accurately picking, labelling, and staging pallets for outgoing transport
• Conducting physical stocktakes and periodic cycle counts to resolve stock discrepancies
• Working closely with purchasing and supply chain teams to maintain optimal stock levels

Are you an experienced Stock Controller or Inventory Specialist looking for a key role within a established food production environment?

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Stock Controller to manage inventory workflows, maintain stock accuracy, and ensure continuous availability for our manufacturing lines.

The Role
