Job description

£28,000 per annum, Days, Monday - Friday, Progression opportunities, Free Parking, Free tea and coffee, pension, healthcare, bonus scheme.

Due to the ongoing growth of a well-established family-owned distribution company in the Sheffield area, we have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and reliable Stock Controller to join their team based at their Sheffield site, which is within 15 minutes of the city centre and within 5 minutes of Meadowhall. Reporting to the Director, key responsibilities include:

1. Maintaining and ensuring stock levels are sufficient, checking product quantity and quality of incoming goods against orders.
2. Reporting on stock availability, space optimisation, and inventory performance.
3. Liaising with different departments to ensure effective stock allocation to meet customer requirements.
4. Assisting with delivering products to local customers.
5. Controlling all stock-related activities, including goods in, inspections, dispatches, and returns.
6. Adhering to health and safety protocols during stock handling to ensure safe storage and handling of products.

The ideal candidate will have:

1. Experience working within distribution.
2. A full and clean UK driving license (desirable).
3. The ability to work independently.
4. Strong IT skills.
5. Excellent communication skills.

This is an exciting opportunity for candidates with experience as a Stock Controller, Despatch Operative, Goods In Operative, Goods Out Operative, or Stores Person within distribution, engineering, or manufacturing environments.
