Job summary

LWC Drinks in Aylesbury is seeking a Stock Controller to manage the stock for the site, ensuring optimal levels to meet changing demand and seasonality. You will own the stock control function and uphold data integrity across the depot.

Responsibilities include ordering stock, checking goods in, matching deliveries to invoices, and minimising write-offs while ensuring best before dates are controlled. A forklift license is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
• Proficient in Excel for spreadsheets and records.
• Experience with Trinity system and Cyberquery preferred.
• Solid knowledge of the drinks industry and warehousing policies.

Responsibilities

• Order all stock to satisfy customer demand, including the Grey market, while maintaining stock levels.
• Ensure accuracy of goods in, check delivery notes against POs, and bookings; raise supplier queries promptly.
• Match deliveries against invoices and query overcharges.
• Manage and provide data to minimise obsolete stock.
• Investigate discrepancies, losses and damages.
• Continuously review methods and implement best practices.
• Evaluate systems with the Company Distribution Manager to optimise processes.
• Control best before dates and minimise write-offs.
• Manage and resolve outstanding pending issues.

Objectives of the job

Responsible for the ordering of all stock for the site ensuring sufficient stock levels to satisfy changing demands, trends and seasonality. Take ownership of the stock control function, making it your own and being responsible for the integrity of all stock on site.

Main Duties

• Order all stock to satisfy customer demand, including the Grey market, whilst keeping stock levels to company standards.
• Ensure accuracy of goods in checking, the checking of delivery notes against po's, and the accuracy of deliveries being booked onto the system. Raising any queries with suppliers in a timely manner.
• Responsible for accurately matching deliveries against invoices, and querying any overcharges.
• To manage and provide data to minimise obsolete stock.
• Investigate and report on discrepancies losses and damages.
• To continuously review methods and seek ways to implement best practice.
• To evaluate systems and work with Company Distribution Manager to implement best practice.
• Responsible for controlling best before dates of all stock and minimising write offs.
• Manage and clear all outstanding pending issues.
