Job summary

Culina is recruiting a Stock Controller for our Chilled & Fresh division in Crick. This full-time, permanent role operates on a 4 on 4 off shift from 6am to 6pm, focused on accuracy of loads, stock integrity, and timely reporting.

You will work closely with management and the despatch team to maintain efficient stock control. The position requires prior stock controller experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure to meet daily targets.

Qualifications

• Previous stock controller experience is essential.
• Flexibility to cover all stock department areas.
• Detail-oriented with strong time management.
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Good knowledge of on-site systems.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with Management and Operational staff to ensure accuracy of received and despatched loads and amend and rework accordingly.
• Manage, with the Receipt and Despatch Team, the problem pallet area.
• Accurately amend pickfaces to maintain stock integrity ensuring checks are completed first.
• Hold and Release process.
• Assist in the management of the pallet database.
• Investigate and report all short shipments.
• Complete daily and weekly reports.
• Assist Stock Management with investigations.
• Handle handovers, missing pallet investigations, damage control and samples.

from supplier to shelf, we make fresh supply chains simpler. Our expertise in temperature-controlled logistics ensures products are delivered safely, efficiently and on time, helping customers maximise availability and minimise waste.

Life in this role

As part of our Chilled & Fresh division, we have an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Stock Controller on a full time permanent basis.

Salary

£13.96 per hour.

Shift

4 on 4 off, 6am-6pm.

Key Duties of a Stock Controller

• Liaise with Management and Operational staff to ensure accuracy of received and despatched loads and amend and rework accordingly.
• Manage, in conjunction with the Receipt and Despatch Team, the problem pallet area.
• Accurately amend pickfaces to maintain stock integrity ensuring all checks are completed first.
• Hold and Release process.
• Assist in the management of the pallet database.
• Fully investigate and report accurately all short shipments.
• Completion of daily reports required on a daily and weekly basis.
• Assist Stock Management with investigations.
• Any additional responsibilities such as handovers, missing pallet investigations, damage control and samples.

Qualifications

• Previous stock controller experience is essential.
• Flexibility within the role to cover all areas of the stock department functionality.
• Able to demonstrate a high level of detail.
• Able to manage own time to achieve daily targets efficiently and effectively.
• Team player who can also work on own initiative.
• In-depth knowledge of on-site systems.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Excellent investigative and problem-solving skills.
