Job summary

Great Bear, part of the Culina Group, is recruiting a Stock Controller for our busy e-fulfilment warehouse handling beers, wines and spirits for well-known brands. You will play a key role in maintaining stock integrity and supporting despatch activities, with a strong focus on accuracy, safety, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Working hours are 4 on 4 off nights from 18:00 to 06:00. You will investigate stock discrepancies, manage the pallet database, complete daily and weekly reports,

Qualifications

• Previous stock control experience.
• High level of detail orientation.
• Ability to manage own time to meet daily targets.
• Team player but able to work on own initiative.
• Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent investigative and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Liaise with Management and Operational staff to ensure accuracy of received and despatched loads.
• Manage, with the Receipt and Despatch Team, the problem pallet area.
• Amend pick faces to maintain stock integrity; ensure checks are completed.
• Hold and Release process.
• Assist in managing the pallet database.
• Investigate and report all short shipments accurately.
• Complete daily and weekly reports.
• ODT planning with Mars and Haulier.
• Assist Stock Management with investigations.
• Handle additional responsibilities such as handovers and damage control.

Job Description

Supporting our e-fulfilment operation for a well-known recognised brand. The site will handle the movement of customer-specific products, including beers, wines and spirits, within a fast-paced warehouse environment.

You will play a vital role inmaintainingthe stock integrity within the warehouse.With an eye for detail and excellent investigative skills you will already have stock control experience and knowledge of WMS. Teamwork,communicationand tenacity are key attributes, whilst the ability to work pro-actively on your own initiative is also vital to the success of our department.

Key Duties of a Stock Controller:

• Manage, in conjunction with the Receipt and Despatch Team, the problem pallet area.
• Accurately amendpickfacestomaintainstock integrity ensuring all checks are completed first.
• Hold and Release process.
• Assistin the management of the pallet database.
• Fully investigate and report accurately all short shipments.
• Completion of daily reportsrequiredon a daily and weekly basis.
• ODT planning with Mars and Haulier.
• Assist Stock Management with investigations.
• Anyadditionalresponsibilities such as handovers, missing pallet investigations, damagecontroland samples.

Qualifications

• Previousstock control experience.
• Flexibility within the role to cover all areas of the stock department functionality.
• Able to demonstrate a high level of detail.
• Able to manage own time to achieve daily targets efficiently and effectively.
• Team player who can also work on own initiative.
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Excellent investigative and problem-solving skills.
• PC literate in MS Office including Word,Exceland Outlook
