Great Bear, part of the Culina Group, is recruiting a Stock & Systems Supervisor at Markham Vale on a full-time permanent basis. The role focuses on supervising the stock control team, ensuring KPI targets are met, and driving continuous improvement in stock integrity and system processes.

The position runs on a rotating 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm shift pattern, with responsibilities including daily stock checks, performance feedback, and coordination with other managers to maintain smooth operations.

Qualifications

• High attention to detail for daily stock checks and data accuracy.
• Ability to lead a small team and delegate tasks effectively.
• Excellent knowledge of on-site systems and processes.
• Organised approach to administrative duties and reporting.
• Capable of meeting tight deadlines and maintaining accuracy.
• Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook; able to manage data.
• Experience with stock control and supervision

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day running of the Stock department.
• Supervise stock control, ensuring KPI targets are met or exceeded.
• Schedule and supervise Stock & Admin staff activities.
• Provide feedback on team performance and coaching as needed.
• Support training and development for the stock team.
• Control absence levels and ensure adequate cover.
• Maintain high Health & Safety levels and system configurations.
• Travel for monthly customer meetings and site visits.

Our Markham Vale site are now recruiting for a Stock & Systems Supervisor to join their friendly team on afull time permanent basis.

Salary:£33,351 per annum.

Working hours:Monday-Friday, 6am-2pm/2pm-10pm rotating.

As a Stock & Systems Supervisor you willfacilitate in day-to-day processes within the supervision of the department. You will ensure that all stock control team KPI targets are met or exceeded and involved in continuous improvement. Supervising Stock Control department to ensure stock integrity and compliance are being delivered to the highest standard.

Key Duties of aStock & Systems Supervisor

• To assist the Inventory Stock & Systems Manager in the day to day running of the Stockdepartment.
• Resolving stock & system and stock issues.
• Scheduling and supervising the activities and the functions of the Stock & Admin staff.
• To feedback on team and individual performance, including behavioural issues, highlighting good performance.
• To offer suggestions and assist in the organisation of training and development for the stock team Stock and Admin staff, including on-the-job coaching.
• To assist the StockManager in controlling levels of planned and unplanned absence and take appropriate action to ensure cover, and contribute to reductions of unacceptable levels.
• To take part in maintaining high Health & Safety levels.
• To deputise for the Inventory Manager when required.
• To supervise and contribute to track & trace requests, product recall and quality assurance.
• Monitoring and scheduling daily, weekly & monthly stock counts checks.
• To stay in communication with other Managers/Supervisors and Operational Team ensuring smooth flow of operations.
• To be involved in maintaining systemsconfiguration.
• To travel and take part in monthly meetings with customers.

Qualifications

• Able to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
• Must be a team player who is capable of working on their own initiative.
• Able to demonstrate an in depth knowledge of on-site systems and processes.
• An organised and focused approach to all administrative duties.
• Able to work to tight deadlines.
• PC Literate on intermediate level (Word, Excel and Outlook).
• Ability to efficiently lead a team, delegate, supervise functions and keep staff motivated.
• Strong interpersonal, conciliation skills and the capacity to network with suppliers and customers.
• Working knowledge of warehouse management systems would be seen as an advantage.
• Previous experience in a supervisory role and good knowledge of stock control is required.
