Job summary

JJ Food Service Limited is seeking a Stock Controller for the day shift to keep our UK warehouse operations running smoothly. You will code, label, and locate stock accurately, rotate stock to minimise loss from short-dated items, and assist with stock takes and safety procedures.

This permanent role emphasizes teamwork and reliability. The role requires physical fitness and good spoken English, with a clear commitment to safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar warehouse role and ability to handle physical tasks.
• Excellent people skills and a strong team player mindset.
• Clear, effective communication and able to work with colleagues.
• Eligible to live and work in the UK without sponsorship.
• Physically active with capability for heavy lifting and manual handling.
• Good spoken English for daily operations and safety.

Responsibilities

• Code/label products correctly and store in the right location.
• Rotate stock to minimize loss from short-dated items.
• Store items safely in correct locations and maintain tidy bays.
• Check stock for damage, loss or short-dated items and report accordingly.
• Coordinate and prepare for stock taking processes.
• Manual handling including lifting/moving products as required.
• Push/pull trolleys to transport items as part of daily duties.

Stock Controller – Day Shift

The perfect candidate will work behind-the-scenes to ensure the warehouse operates smoothly.
Salary: £27,400.00 per annum

• A physically active nature (due to heavy lifting)

Responsibilities Of The Role

• Ensure products are coded/labeled correctly and stored at the correct location
• Ensure stock rotation to minimize loss through short dated items
• Store items safely in the correct location
• Ensure stock rotation to minimize loss through short dated items
• Check stock for damage, loss or short dated items and report as required
• Coordinate and prepare for stock taking process
• Manual handling – lifting or moving products as required
• Physical requirements – pushing and pulling the trolley to carry items
