Job summary

JJ Food Service Limited in Leeds is seeking an Operations Operative for Day Shift to support our busy warehouse. You will prepare customer orders for loading onto lorries, store items correctly, check stock for damage, and handle manual lifting in a safe way. This is a permanent contract with full training and clear opportunities for progression.

Salary is £26,440 per annum. Benefits include 28 days’ annual leave (33 with service), discounts via our JJ family portal, cycle to work and free

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar warehousing role.
• Excellent people skills and teamwork.
• Good communication skills.
• Eligible to live and work in the UK.
• Physically active with ability to handle heavy lifting.
• Good spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Preparing customer orders that will be loaded onto our lorries.
• Store items safely in the correct location.
• Check stock for damage, loss or short dated items and report as required.
• Manual handling – lifting or moving products as required.
• Physical requirements – pushing and pulling the trolley to carry items.
