Job summary

Somerset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 2 Sterile Service operative to support the distribution of reusable medical devices for patient care in Somerset. This full-time role requires operating during early hours and some cover for leave.

You will use T-Doc to scan dispatched items and move equipment across theatres and wards. The position is part of an NHS trust with a strong commitment to flexible working, pension benefits, and career development, reflecting a supportive and inclusive

Qualifications

Experience of working within a team.
Experience of working with the NHS.
Experience of working within a decontamination facility.

Responsibilities

Provide an efficient distribution service of reusable medical devices for direct patient care.
Ensure deliveries are scanned out (dispatched) using the T-Doc traceability system.
Move trolleys or use an electric tug/master mover for delivery or collection of equipment from theatres/wards/departments.
Cover deliveries and collections while maintaining service standards.

Job summary

An exciting opportunity to join our Sterile Service team on a full time basis. We are offering 37.5 hours a week. Working hours are typically 06:00 - 14:00.

Please note-Some cover will be required when a member of our team is on leave between 14:00 - 22:00.

To be responsible for providing an efficient distribution service of re-usable medical devices for use in direct patient care within Somerset NHS Trust.

To ensure any deliveries are scanned out (dispatched) by using T-Doc traceability system.
To use electric tug, master mover or manually move trollies for delivery or collection of equipment from Theatres/Wards or Departments.
To collect and deliver goods in inclement weather whilst either using electric tug, master mover or manual trollies.
To work with minimum supervision whilst in the Department but to use initiative whilst around the Hospital, refer to team leader for guidance.
