Job summary

Somerset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 2 Sterile Service operative to support the distribution of reusable medical devices for patient care in Somerset. This full-time role requires operating during early hours and some cover for leave.

Qualifications

• Experience of working within a team.
• Experience of working with the NHS.
• Experience of working within a decontamination facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide an efficient distribution service of reusable medical devices for direct patient care.
• Ensure deliveries are scanned out (dispatched) using the T-Doc traceability system.
• Move trolleys or use an electric tug/master mover for delivery or collection of equipment from theatres/wards/departments.
• Cover deliveries and collections while maintaining service standards.
