Practice Plus Group in Plymouth is expanding its hospital services and is creating a Sterile Services Technician role to support the Sterile Services Department Lead and Theatre Manager in delivering a safe, decontaminated supply chain. You will prepare medical devices for patient use by cleaning, checking, packing, assembling, sterilising and distributing them across departments.
The role requires prioritising workload, effective communication, and teamwork.
In keeping with our expansion plans at our Plymouth based hospital, we are soon to be launching our Sterile Services (CSSD) department enabling us to deliver an ever more swifter service to our patients.
We have a brand new position available for a Sterile Services Technician to support the Sterile Services Department Lead in ensuring a continuously compliant, safe and effective decontamination and sterile supplies service.
This is a full-time position, 37.5 hours per week
Working Monday to Friday - with 1 Saturday shifts in 3
Hours based on two shift patterns;
Early - 07:30 - 15:30
Late - 11:00 - 19:00
Sterile Services Technician is required to be a vital member of the team, working to support the Sterile Services Department Lead and Theatre Manager in the provision of a safe and effective decontamination and sterile supplies service to the required departments within our hospital.
You'll be ensuring that every medical device is prepared fit for the purpose prior to patient use and undertaking tasks involved with the decontamination process i.e. cleaning, checking, packing, assembling, sterilising and distribution of medical devices.
