Job summary

Cheshire East Council is seeking a Step-Forward Foster Carer to welcome a child or sibling group into your home, providing stability and a caring environment as part of a supportive team. This role involves working with social workers and therapists to ensure the child’s safety and development.

You will be backed by specialist training, supervision and access to peer networks, with a generous package including a weekly fostering allowance and annual salary equivalent to £52,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Must be aged 21 or over with no upper age limit.
• Have the legal Right to Work in the United Kingdom.
• Be able to provide full-time care for a child or children in their home.

Responsibilities

• Full-time care for a child or sibling group moving from residential care.
• Provide stability, routine and reassurance within a nurturing home.
• Support the child’s emotional, behavioural and social development.
• Work closely with social workers, therapists and other professionals.
• Keep clear records and provide therapeutic, relationship-based care.
