Job summary

Cheshire East Council is recruiting for Step-Forward Foster Carer roles to welcome children or siblings into your home, providing stability and guidance within a nurturing family setting.

The role offers a salary of £52,000 per annum (£1,000 weekly) with a 50% retainer pre-placement, plus age-related fostering allowances and additional payments for birthdays, holidays and cultural celebrations.

Qualifications

• Enquiries from individuals or couples aged 21+.
• Right to Work in the United Kingdom.
• Ability to provide full-time care in home with at least one carer present if applying as a couple.
• Spare bedroom(s) suitable for fostering.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-time care for a child or sibling group moving from residential care.
• Offer stability, routine and reassurance within a nurturing home.
• Support emotional, behavioural and social development.
• Maintain clear records and provide therapeutic, relationship-based care.
• Facilitate Family Time to maintain relationships.
