Job summary

Laing O'Rourke is seeking experienced Steelfixers to join our team on the M42 Box HS2 Project in the UK. As part of our directly employed workforce, you'll work on one of the UK's most important infrastructure projects with excellent training, development and long-term career opportunities.

With a substantial £8 billion pipeline of work, this is a prime time to join. CSCS Skilled Worker Card (Blue) is essential, and you will collaborate with site teams to ensure safety, quality and timely

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Steelfixer.
• Ability to read and understand steel reinforcement drawings.
• Strong knowledge of steel fixing methods and construction practices.
• Ability to work accurately and to high quality standards.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
• Experience working on major infrastructure or construction projects is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand steel reinforcement drawings and schedules.
• Cut, bend and fix steel reinforcement to specification.
• Install reinforcement safely and correctly according to project requirements.
• Work together with site teams to meet programme and quality targets.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and workmanship at all times.
• Follow approved safe working methods and site procedures.
