Job summary

People Solutions is seeking a skilled Steel Frame Erector for assignments across the UK. The role involves traveling with a company vehicle to install steel fabrications, railings, gates, doors and windows, with floor and roof installations.

You will operate power tools and ensure accurate alignment and safety on site. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in steel installation or timber work, and hold a valid driving licence.

Qualifications

• English is required.
• A valid driving licence is required.
• Hands-on experience with steel fabrication and installation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review technical plans and drawings.
• Plan assembly and installation for each project.
• Cut and shape steel and timber to fit each job.
• Operate hand and power tools safely.
• Assemble steel sections to form frameworks on site.
• Work at height and with lifting equipment when required.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work sites.

Steel Frame Erector - Wolverhampton

People Solutions are seeking a highly skilled Steel Frame Erector for their client in the Wolverhampton area.The role is to travel across the UK with the use of a company vehicle fully kitted out with all the tools needed for the Job.

Installing and erecting steel fabrications ,railings / gates Doors / windows with floor & roof installations up and down the UK.

we are looking for individuals with drive and passion to assemble products consistently and reliably as and when needed.

A conscientious and measured approach to the role is advantageous and definitely a pride in work.

power tools for steel and timber are used frequently so any experience in assembly / fabrication / installation / engineering / carpentry etc are beneficial.

there are aspects of heavy lifting / travel / overnight stays

Pay rate:

£31,200 - £42,120

Working hours typically Monday to Friday - Days

Day-to-Day Duties

• Reviewing technical plans drafted by the Drawing Office
• Planning project assembly and installation.
• Cutting and manipulating steel & timber to suit each project
• Operating hand and power tools
• Installing and fixing together steel sections, Timber, beam sections to make a steel framework to suit each job.
• Using elevated work platforms and scissor lifts
• Installation of products ranges to bespoke specifications and sign off on completed works and tasks once completed.
• Ensure Lining up and levelling steelwork before Fixing in place
• Working on-site, Overnight and often at height.
• Adhering to health and safety requirements of the company and the industry.
• Conserving resources and supplies to facilitate minimum waste & leaving a clean and tidy workplace
• Performing any other duties that may be deemed necessary to ensure the effective running of the Department and Company.
• Good team worker

Experience

• Steel installation: 3 years (preferred)
• Working with timber: 3 years (preferred)
• Hands on / relevant skills: 3 years (preferred)
