Impact Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Installation Engineer / Steel Erector to join a growing specialist installation business based in Northampton. This role will involve travelling to sites across the UK to install structural steelwork, gantry systems and overhead cranes.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Steel Erector looking to join a growing business, with a company van provided, regular overtime opportunities and varied installation projects

Formación

• Experience as Steel Erector
• Full UK driving licence
• Read and interpret technical drawings
• Safe work at height
• Hands-on and problem-solving approach

Responsabilidades

• Install and erect structural steelwork including beams, columns, frames, supports and gantry structures
• Bolt, fix and secure steel sections in position, ensuring installations are completed safely and accurately
• Assist with installation of overhead cranes and associated steel structures
• Read and interpret technical drawings to ensure components are installed correctly
• Work safely at height using appropriate access equipment and fall protection
• Work alongside crane operators, slingers and signallers to position and install heavy steel components
• Carry out cutting and burning of steelwork where required
• Follow site safety procedures and maintain high standards of workmanship
• Travel to customer sites across the UK using a company van
• Work as part of a small installation team to complete projects efficiently and to specification
• Work overtime and stay away overnight occasionally when required

Impact Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Installation Engineer / Steel Erector to join a growing specialist installation business based in Northampton. This role will involve travelling to sites across the UK to install structural steelwork, gantry systems and overhead cranes.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Steel Erector looking to join a growing business, with a company van provided, regular overtime opportunities and varied installation projects across the UK.

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm (40 contracted hours per week)

Location: Northampton (UK-wide travel required)

Responsibilities:

• Install and erect structural steelwork, including beams, columns, frames, supports and gantry structures
• Bolt, fix and secure steel sections in position, ensuring installations are completed safely and accurately
• Assist with the installation of overhead cranes and associated steel structures

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Previous experience working as a Steel Erector is essential
• A full UK driving licence is essential
• Confident working at height and following relevant safety procedures
• Experience using tools and equipment associated with steel erection, including cutting and burning equipment
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings
• A practical, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a small team
• Flexibility to work overtime and stay away overnight occasionally
