Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to become a Statutory Reporting Manager within the Group Financial Control team. Supporting the Business, we ensure all external reporting requirements and deadlines are met to a high standard. This includes inputs to the Group Audit Committee, half-year and full-year press releases, and the Annual Report. We produce consolidated financial statements for external reporting at half-year and full-year, and coordinate quarterly statutory reporting requirements with the businesses.

Reporting directly to the Statutory Reporting Senior Manager, you will be part of the Statutory Reporting Team, responsible for preparing statutory financial statements for a FTSE100 listed group and its UK subsidiaries, accounting for pensions and share-based payments, and staying updated on statutory reporting requirements.

This role offers excellent insight into external reporting, development of technical knowledge, involvement in process improvements, and exposure to senior management.

We foster an inclusive culture that invests in your continuous learning and development, offering a wide range of experiences.

Our benefits include a competitive salary, bonus, employee support assistance, and discounts. We support flexible working arrangements, typically requiring attendance at the office about three days per week for collaboration and specific activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing group financial statements in line with UK listing rules, interim statements, and the finance sections of the Annual Report, including disclosures.
  • Review UK subsidiary statutory accounts, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements, policies, and standards.
  • Interpret and communicate new technical accounting standards to ensure proper application.
  • Collaborate with business, governance, and external auditors to ensure quality outputs and robust project planning.
  • Act as a primary contact for external auditors regarding subsidiary accounts, technical queries, and liaising with business contacts.
  • Manage financial accounting and reporting for Rolls-Royce pension schemes, including IAS 19 disclosures and journal entries.
  • Coordinate and review forecast submissions within statutory reporting teams.
  • Drive process improvements and provide training within the team and divisions.

Candidate Profile:

  • Qualified accountant with experience in subsidiary statutory reporting.
  • Strong relationship-building skills across diverse teams.
  • Dedicated to service delivery, structured, and deadline-driven.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Passionate about professional development.
  • Ability to simplify complex data.
  • Proactive, organized, flexible, and resilient.

We are committed to diversity and inclusion, welcoming applicants from all backgrounds, including refugees. Learn more about our inclusion strategy on our website.
