Job summary

TAIT is seeking a Mechanical Fabricator in Haverhill, SFK, GB to manufacture and assemble bespoke projects, including stage machinery and fascia structures. You will weld, fabricate, and mechanically assemble components across mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium, using MIG and TIG processes to tight tolerances.

• Proven experience in custom welding and fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate structural and architectural components using MIG/TIG/MMA welding.
• Work with mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium.
• Construct custom metal frameworks, fascia structures, deck platforms, and mounting assemblies.
• Assemble mechanical systems including bearings, motors, gearboxes, pulleys, and linear rails.
• Fit and align moving parts to ensure safe mechanical function.
• Perform functional testing and basic fault finding on mechanical systems.
