Job summary

TAIT is seeking a Mechanical Fabricator to join our live events division. You will weld and fabricate structural components in mild steel, stainless, and aluminium, and assemble moving stage machinery according to engineering drawings.

You will use MIG, TIG and MMA welding, cut, roll, bend, and fit parts, perform functional testing, and uphold health and safety standards while maintaining quality and precision.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in custom welding and fabrication; welding certifications preferred.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and fabrication layouts.
• Comfort with varied materials including mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate structural and architectural components using MIG, TIG and MMA welding.
• Assemble mechanical systems including gears, motors and drive components.
• Fit and align moving parts to ensure safe, reliable operation.
• Follow drawings and quality standards; perform in-process checks.
• Maintain safe, clean workspace and support cross-functional teams.
