Job summary

TAIT is seeking a Mechanical Fabricator to manufacture and assemble bespoke projects, including structural frames, fascia, decks, and stage machinery. You will work with mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium using MIG and TIG processes to meet tight tolerances.

You will also assemble gearboxes, motors and drive systems, align moving parts, and perform basic fault finding, testing, and quality checks on assemblies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in custom welding and fabrication.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings confidently.
• Familiarity with fabrication tools and machinery.
• Strong time management to meet production deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate structural components using MIG/TIG/MMA welding.
• Assemble mechanical systems including moving parts.
• Read mechanical schematics and layout plans.
• Maintain quality and safety standards on all work.
