Job summary

Dex is seeking a Staff-level full-stack engineer to lead a team of five engineers building customer-facing web apps including analytics dashboard, docs platform, marketing site, sign-up, and billing flows. You will report to the CTO and shape DevEx vision, ensuring scalable architecture.

You bring strong React and TypeScript, backend experience with Ruby on Rails or Node.js, prior leadership, and a track record integrating AI tools and LLMs to boost velocity.

Qualifications

• Strong full-stack JavaScript skills with React and TypeScript.
• Proven experience leading a small engineering team.
• Clear point of view on developer tooling and DX.
• Experience integrating LLMs/AI into engineering workflows with velocity gains.
• Empathy for developer customers and good API design.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of five full-stack engineers with hands-on leadership.
• Own end-to-end architecture for all customer-facing web apps.
• Drive adoption of AI tools to multiply productivity.
• Set high standards for code review, testing, and incident response.
• Collaborate with SDK and realtime infrastructure teams to ensure cohesive DX.
