Job summary

Dex seeks a senior engine er to own substantial parts of a modern data platform. You will scale components, ensure reliability, and embed AI into core workflows. The role emphasizes ownership from backend storage to data pipelines, with strong emphasis on AWS, Kubernetes, and a Python/React stack.

You will work on a lean team, tackle technically challenging problems, and influence architecture decisions while delivering robust platform capabilities for enterprise customers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production experience owning significant platform components end-to-end.
• Proficient in Python stack (Django/Flask/FastAPI) and React with backend DB experience.
• Experience deploying and operating services on AWS with Kubernetes.
• Active use of AI tooling in engineering workflows.
• Ability to articulate past architectural decisions in complex problems.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale core data platform components to support hundreds of enterprise customers.
• Drive reliability across the stack from Postgres/Redshift to Iceberg.
• Own infrastructure on AWS and Kubernetes, beyond application code.
• Embed AI directly into product and engineering workflows.
• Reduce manual support via automation and platform improvements.
