Workplace Classification:
Hybrid: This position does not require an employee to be on-site full-time. Employees are expected to be onsite up to 3 times per week at either our Charlotte or Austin Technical Centers.
The Team:
GM’s Motorsports Software team develops cutting-edge motorsports IT software solutions, utilizing cloud infrastructure and software standards to enable innovative interactions between GM Global Engineering, GM Motorsports, and Race teams, aiming for podium finishes in NASCAR, IndyCar, and IMSA sportscar racing.
The Role:
The Staff Software Engineer provides technical leadership and software delivery, requiring expert-level technical skills, hands-on project contributions, and experience in scalable cloud systems. This role involves shaping and building motorsports software, with a focus on aerodynamics systems design.

Preferred Qualifications include a Master's degree, aerodynamics engineering exposure, AI/ML knowledge, VR development experience, data streaming technologies, cross-platform optimization skills, UI/UX expertise, leadership experience, and a passion for motorsports.
