Job summary

Wayve is building the AI platform for autonomous driving with an emphasis on mapless operation and real‑world learning. This senior localisation role focuses on designing and productionising state‑estimation systems that fuse GNSS, IMU and wheel odometry to deliver accurate vehicle motion across diverse environments.

You will own the localisation architecture and technical roadmap while contributing to algorithm development, validation and onboard deployment, collaborating with robotics,

Qualifications

• Deep practical expertise in localisation, state estimation or sensor fusion.
• Strong understanding of filtering-based estimation and nonlinear optimisation.
• Experience deploying localisation or state-estimation systems in real-time environments.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve architecture and roadmap for onboard localisation.
• Lead development of robust state-estimation systems with GNSS, IMU and wheel odometry.
• Transition algorithms from prototype to production on real-time vehicle platforms.
• Develop validation, benchmarking, and regression testing across vehicles and environments.
• Provide leadership and mentorship across robotics, calibration, controls, sensors and vehicle teams.
