Résumé du poste

Wayve is seeking a senior engineer to own the architecture and roadmap for Remote Assistance, spanning onboard integration, offboard services, and operator tooling. You will shape data governance, authority boundaries, fallback strategies, and safety incident learning, collaborating with autonomy, safety, infra, and product teams to deliver a cohesive, safety-focused system.

You’ll drive end-to-end design for low-latency telemetry, video streaming, and MRMs, contributing to Wayve’s evolving L4

Qualifications

  • Experience building real-time, safety-critical systems in AV/robotics, teleoperation, or related domains.
  • Ability to connect technical performance metrics to user experience and launch readiness.
  • Experience leading cross-org roadmaps and delivering work through architecture and alignment.

Responsabilités

  • Own the architecture and roadmap for Remote Assistance across onboard integration, offboard services, and operator tooling/HMI
  • Define the vehicle–operator contract including data, authority bounds, fallback/MRM, and failure handling
  • Lead cross-team execution across autonomy, safety, platform/infra, and product partners to deliver architecture as workstreams
  • Set system-level safety and reliability targets, latency budgets, monitoring, replay/evidence, and incident learning loops
  • Interface with engineering leadership and safety stakeholders to feed Remote Assistance into Wayve's L4 safety case
  • Develop end-to-end Remote Assistance systems across vehicle integration, offboard services, and operator-facing components
  • Ensure low-latency telemetry and video streaming with strict latency and data freshness constraints
  • Design fallback and minimal risk manoeuvre (MRM) logic for safe operation
  • Translate cross-organ architecture into executable workstreams across multiple teams
  • Contribute to Wayve's L4 safety case with the safety organisation
