Join Our Expanding Team: Make a Difference in Mother and Infant Care
Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is the lead provider for perinatal services for the Yorkshire and Humber provider collaborative which goes live in April 2025. In autumn 2025 there will be a further bed expansion to the existing and only mother and baby unit in Yorkshire and Humber, which will allow for inpatient care to be provided for mothers and their infants closer to their home.
As part of this exciting expansion of our Mother and Baby Unit at The Mount in Leeds, we are looking for compassionate, dedicated, and skilled professionals to join our dynamic team. As we grow, we aim to continue providing the highest standard of care to mothers and their infants in a supportive and nurturing environment.

As Staff Nurse you will deliver high-quality physical and emotional care as part of the multi-disciplinary team to mothers and infants, undertaking assessments of care which lead to the development of detailed and effective nursing and infant care plans. As the primary nurse you will act as a caseload manager working alongside a named nursery nurse and collaborate with outside agencies where it is requested for the wellbeing of either mother or child.
In this role, you will also provide assistance as part of The Mount’s rapid response team and act as shift coordinator when on duty.

As Staff Nurse, you will provide exceptional care to mothers and infants working alongside a multidisciplinary team, to ensure that every mother and baby receives the best possible care.
You will be working a 24-hour shift pattern, planning and delivering nursing interventions, delivering therapeutic groups in close liaison with external agencies, and accompanying service users and their infants off the unit.
An interest in women’s mental health and the particular needs of the infant where the primary care giver is suffering from a significant illness is essential.
