Job summary

Dex seeks a Staff-level full-stack engineer to lead a team of five engineers building customer-facing web applications, including analytics, docs, marketing site, sign-up and billing flows.

You will set technical architecture, drive rapid iteration, and champion developer experience while reporting directly to the CTO. This is a hands-on leadership role with a strong focus on tooling and AI integration.

Qualifications

• Strong full-stack JavaScript engineer with backend experience in Ruby on Rails or Node.js.
• Experience leading a small team and driving technical direction.
• Clear viewpoint on developer tooling and excellent Developer Experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of five engineers, balancing hands-on leadership with people development.
• Own end-to-end technical architecture for all customer-facing web apps: analytics, docs, marketing site, sign-up and billing flows.
• Drive adoption of AI tools and LLMs to boost team productivity and velocity.
• Set high standards for code review, testing, and incident response.
• Collaborate with SDK and realtime infra teams to ensure cohesive developer experience.
