Job summary

Dex partner is seeking a Staff Engineer/Tech Lead to own a new product area within a rapidly scaling engineering team. The role blends ownership and mentorship for a small team of 3-5 engineers while remaining deeply technical.

You will contribute on backend or frontend, mentor engineers, and drive architecture to support AI-native features, directly influencing product decisions through customer insight.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in a modern typed language for backend or React for frontend.
• Experience as Tech Lead or Staff Engineer driving multi-engineer projects.
• Hands-on experience designing secure, scalable backend systems on cloud platforms (GCP or AWS).
• Willingness to take on line management responsibilities: hiring, growing, and owning engineer progression.

Responsibilities

• Deeply contribute to backend (TypeScript/Node.js, Go) or frontend (React) development.
• Recruit, mentor, and grow a team of 3-5 engineers within your product area.
• Own a product area end-to-end, from conception through delivery and iteration.
• Evolve the core architecture to support scale and AI-native features.
• Shape product decisions through customer conversations and technical insight.
