Job summary

Dex partner opportunity seeks a Staff or Principal Data Engineer to own the technical direction of large-scale data infrastructure. This is a deeply hands-on individual contributor role that combines software and data engineering with architectural leadership, designing scalable data acquisition, processing, and integration pipelines and establishing patterns for the wider engineering org.

Qualifications

Experience building data-intensive production systems in real environments.
Ability to lead major technical work as an IC, coordinating engineers.
Strong judgment on distributed processing, storage, and reliability.
Hands-on with debugging and production instincts in modern AI contexts.

Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable data acquisition, ingestion, processing, and integration for large datasets.
Build infrastructure for data quality, sanitisation, security, and privacy across the platform.
Establish reusable data patterns and frameworks for engineers to build on robust foundations.
Identify architectural limitations and lead transitions to scalable, resilient solutions.
Provide hands-on direction and mentorship, staying close to code and production systems.
