Engine by Starling is seeking Staff Engineers and Engineers to join our Backend team. You will help build and evolve our core platform used by banks worldwide, leading technical delivery and shaping future capabilities across tooling, automation, and architecture.

You will work on Java-based systems, collaborate with solution architects and product owners, and mentor others while delivering high-quality software in a hybrid working environment.

Formación

• Open-minded about how we deliver software and hiring.
• Primarily code in Java; strong coding standards and automated testing.
• DevOps practices and delivering complex outcomes across teams.
• Coaching and mentoring team members to upskill.

Responsabilidades

• Lead multiple complex projects from inception through to run.
• Be a Technical Leader, with or without a team.
• Take ownership of technical challenges critical to the business.
• Identify tooling, applications, or processes to enhance and deliver change.
• Collaborate with clients, solution architects, product owners, and engineers to meet goals.
• Understand how banks operate globally and shape Engine's capabilities.
