Engine by Starling is seeking Staff Engineers to lead and delivery complex backend projects across banking platforms worldwide. You will own critical technical challenges, drive architectural improvements, and collaborate with clients, architects, and product teams to meet ambitious goals.

You will guide teams, shape tooling and automation, and help scale our platform while maintaining high coding standards and a culture of learning.

Qualifications

• Delivering change to critical systems in a distributed environment.
• Be a highly proficient developer with a standard of coding excellence.
• Good understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD.
• Delivering complex outcomes across multiple domains and teams.
• Coaching and mentoring team members to upskill.
• Leading technical delivery on large-scale projects.

Responsabilités

• Lead multiple complex projects from inception through to run.
• Be a Technical Leader, with or without a direct team.
• Own technical challenges critical to business success.
• Identify where tooling and processes can be enhanced and drive changes.
• Collaborate with clients, solution architects, product owners, and engineers to meet goals.
• Shape Engine's future capabilities, tooling, automation and architecture.
