Job summary

Engine by Starling is hiring Staff Engineers to lead large-scale backend initiatives for banking platforms used across global markets. You will design, implement and own critical systems, mentor teammates, and collaborate with product, platforms, and clients to deliver robust, scalable features.

You will work in a hybrid setup, primarily using Java with cloud-native practices, automation, and CI/CD to drive reliable releases and continuous improvement across teams.

• Collaborate with clients, solution architects, product owners, and engineers to meet goals.
