Job summary

Sodexo Live! is seeking a skilled Retail Catering Manager to run the public bar and retail beverages at Blackburn Rovers Stadium.

You will oversee end-to-end operations for matchdays and events, drive sales, and manage stock, costs and teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences. Ideal candidates bring proven leadership in high-volume hospitality, strong planning skills, and a track record of operational excellence in sports venues or large venues.

Qualifications

• Experience leading high-volume hospitality or retail catering.
• Proven ability to manage stock, labour budgets and costs.
• Strong customer service and guest experience focus.
• Food Safety and Health & Safety knowledge.
• Experience in stadiums or live events is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead all public bar and beverage operations across the venue.
• Manage stock ordering, controls, rotation and monthly stocktakes.
• Drive beverage sales, profitability and gross margin performance.
• Ensure bars are fully prepared and operationally ready for every event.
• Recruit, train, motivate and develop casual event teams.
• Manage labour budgets and staffing levels effectively.
• Champion Health & Safety, Food Safety and compliance standards.
• Deliver operational plans for matchdays, concerts and special events.
• Use data, reports and EPOS systems to drive performance improvements.
• Introduce innovative ideas that enhance customer experience and commercial results.
• Build a positive, high-performing team culture focused on service excellence.
