Job summary

Sodexo Live! seeks a Retail Catering Manager to lead the public bar and retail beverage operation at Blackburn Rovers Football Club’s stadium. You will oversee end-to-end service across multiple bars, drive revenue, and ensure guest experiences meet the highest standards.

The role requires hands-on leadership, stock control, and compliance with Food Hygiene, Health & Safety, and EPOS reporting. It’s a busy, event-driven environment with matchdays and concerts.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-volume hospitality or retail catering leadership, stadiums or large venues.
• Strong leadership and ability to develop large teams in fast-paced operations.
• Experience managing stock control, ordering, stock rotation, labour budgets and costs.
• Knowledge of Food Safety, Health & Safety and compliance in catering.
• Experience using EPOS systems and operational reporting tools.
• Flexible hours including evenings, weekends, matchdays / special events.

Responsibilities

• Lead all public bar and beverage operations across the venue.
• Manage stock ordering, controls, rotation and monthly stocktakes.
• Drive beverage sales, profitability and gross margin performance.
• Ensure bars are fully prepared and operationally ready for every event.
• Recruit, train, motivate and develop casual event teams.
• Manage labour budgets and staffing levels effectively.
• Champion Health & Safety, Food Safety and compliance standards.
• Deliver operational plans for matchdays, concerts and special events.
• Use data, reports and EPOS systems to drive performance improvements.
• Introduce innovative ideas to enhance customer experience and commercial results.
• Build a positive, high-performing team culture focused on service excellence.
