Job summary

The Welsh Rugby Union Group is seeking a Principality Stadium Communications Officer to protect, promote and amplify the stadium's reputation as a premier, multi-event venue in Wales. You will work with internal teams and external media to deliver a programme of communications that highlights world-class events, operational excellence and the visitor economy.

You will lead media operations at events, manage media enquiries, and develop press materials, while building relations with journalists,

Qualifications

• Experience in communications, media relations or PR.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent stakeholder relationship management.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance.
• Welsh-language communication desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead media operations at stadium events including accreditation and media facilities.
• Generate media coverage across sport, entertainment, tourism, business publications.
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, broadcasters and promoters.
• Support planning and delivery for major fixtures and events.
• Collaborate with event organisers and rights holders to maximise media opportunities.
• Manage media enquiries and coordinate responses with internal stakeholders.
• Create media materials: press releases, advisories, briefings, statements.
• Monitor traditional, digital and social media for coverage and opportunities.
• Identify coverage opportunities beyond sports media (business, tourism, lifestyle).
• Promote the stadium's food, beverage, hospitality and premium experiences.
