Job summary

ICIS is seeking an SRE Manager to lead the operational reliability function, ensuring stable, resilient production services for internal and external customers. You will drive reliability improvements, advance automation and AI-Ops capabilities, and lead a team focused on observability, incident response, and continuous improvement.

You will transform the Operations function toward an AI-Ops operating model, own end-to-end incident management, mentor team leaders, and ensure RCAs and action

Qualifications

• Strong people leadership and coaching of team leads and engineers.
• Practical SRE experience including incident and problem management, post-mortems, RCA quality, disaster recovery and resilience.
• Ability to influence across Ops, engineering, product and wider teams with clear prioritisation.
• Strong delivery discipline focusing on high-value initiatives from inception to completion.
• Experience using metrics, SLAs, observability data to drive reliability improvements.
• Ability to identify automation opportunities and move toward AI-Ops and proactive operations.
• Clear communication of risks, trade-offs, and support needs across the organisation.
• Willingness to participate hands-on during major incidents.

Responsibilities

• Lead the transformation to an AI-Ops operating model with AI-powered automation and intelligent alerting.
• Own end-to-end incident and problem management, post-incident reviews and RCAs.
• Line-manage and develop team leaders, provide coaching and build delivery discipline.
• Ensure incident management, RCAs and improvement actions are tracked and completed.
• Strengthen operational processes with clear responsibilities and delegation.
• Drive SRE practices across observability, automation, disaster recovery and on-call readiness.
• Balance engineering work with InfoSec commitments, maintenance, and roadmap delivery.
• Act as a liaison between Ops, tech functions, product teams and stakeholders.
