Job summary

Matchtech Group is seeking a civil‑biased Site Manager for a contract role in the transmission and distribution sector. You will oversee site operations, coordinate project delivery and ensure safe, compliant works in line with SR163.

You will manage subcontractors, site teams and multiple activities, maintaining records and reporting to project managers and clients while upholding a strong safety culture on site.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Site Manager in transmission & distribution or civil engineering sectors.
• Strong civil engineering background with practical site management experience.
• Knowledge of SR163 requirements and related procedures.
• Solid health and safety understanding and compliance.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coordinate subcontractors, site teams and multiple activities.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations across transmission & distribution projects.
• Supervise civil works, site teams and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with SR163 and health & safety standards.
• Coordinate site programmes, resources, materials and construction activities.
• Monitor progress, quality and performance for delivery success.
• Maintain accurate site records, reports and project documentation.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, clients and stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve site issues while promoting a positive safety culture.
