Job summary

Matchtech Group is seeking a Site Manager to support a two-year transmission programme, specialising in a two-bay extension. The role is ideal for a civil-biased professional with SR163 authorisation and a strong grasp of site delivery and safety practices.

You will manage day-to-day site activities, coordinate subcontractors and plant, and ensure works progress on programme while upholding high standards of quality and health and safety.

Qualifications

• Current SR163 authorisation and strong SR163 knowledge.
• Civil engineering bias with infrastructure/substation delivery experience.
• Experience in construction health and safety legislation and site controls.
• Ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate multiple site activities.
• Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site activities for the two-bay extension.
• Ensure works are delivered safely and on programme.
• Apply SR163 authorisation across site operations.
• Maintain SR163 compliance and health, safety, and environmental procedures.
• Coordinate subcontractors, site teams, materials and plant.
• Monitor progress, quality and productivity against milestones.
• Review risk assessments, method statements and construction docs.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, clients and stakeholders.
