Job summary

RTL Group in Barnsley, UK, is seeking a Site Manager to lead day-to-day operations on a major 400kV substation project. You will supervise subcontractors, civil works and groundworks, ensuring delivery to safety standards, programme and specification.

You will coordinate with the wider project team and HV contractors, review RAMS and permits, and monitor progress, quality and health & safety on site. Experience in substations or energy infrastructure is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Proven site management experience in civils, groundworks or infrastructure.
• RAMS, permits and site documentation knowledge.
• Strong health and safety and construction process understanding.
• Ability to manage subcontractors and multiple work fronts.

• Ensuring works are delivered safely, to programme and to specification
• Coordinating with the wider project team and electrical/HV contractors
• Reviewing RAMS, permits and site documentation
• Monitoring progress, quality and health & safety
• Reporting into the Project/Construction Manager
• Proven experience as a Site Manager within civils, groundworks or infrastructure
• Experience working on substations, energy infrastructure or major civils projects is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of site health & safety and construction processes
• Ability to manage subcontractors and multiple work fronts
• CSCS
• SMSTS
• First Aid
• National Grid experience / NG Persons / TP137 or SR163 would be advantageous
