Job summary

Matchtech Group is seeking a Site Manager (PCSM) to support major power distribution and transmission projects across the UK. The role suits an experienced M&E Site Manager or Substation Site Manager with a strong background in 400kV+ environments and Principal Contractor responsibilities.

You will discharge Principal Contractor duties under CDM 2015, develop the Construction Phase Plan, coordinate civil, mechanical and electrical works, and lead site meetings and safety workshops to promote a

Qualifications

• Significant experience in a Site Manager / PCSM role delivering major Transmission & Distribution or substation projects.
• SR163 accreditation and SMSTS with IOSH, or NEBOSH certification.
• Strong understanding of CDM Regulations, Principal Contractor responsibilities and safe delivery within live construction environments.
• Experience managing Civil, Mechanical and Electrical substation construction activities.
• Proven experience reviewing RAMS, managing Temporary Works and completing ITPs.
• Strong knowledge of construction site setup, coordination and project delivery.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead site teams and deliver projects safely, on programme, within budget and to quality standards.
• Valid CSCS Card and relevant site-based certification

Responsibilities

• Discharge Principal Contractor responsibilities per CDM 2015.
• Develop and manage Construction Phase Plan and site management arrangements.
• Coordinate civil, mechanical and electrical works on site.
• Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure safety, efficiency and delivery.
• Coordinate contractors, suppliers, labour and stakeholders.
• Review RAMS, permits and work packs before work begins.
• Monitor progress, resources, plant and materials; apply corrective action.
• Lead site meetings, toolbox talks, inspections and safety briefings.
