MMC is seeking a candidate for SQL Server Database Administrator to work from Birmingham or Bristol office on a hybrid schedule of 3 days a week in the office.

Responsibilities include:

• Working independently with minimal supervision.
• Collaborating with offshore teams for work handovers.
• Resolving configuration and performance issues.
• Understanding active-active clustering and disaster recovery failover processes.
• Participating in on-call rotations, including weekends.

Requirements:

• Experience with SQL Server 2016 and above.
• Proficiency in installation, configuration, and management of SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS.
• Experience with capacity planning, backup and recovery, TDE, and Azure Key Vault (asset).
• Skills in index tuning, performance monitoring, T-SQL, and PowerShell scripting (asset).
• Knowledge of active-active clustering, data partitioning, and troubleshooting.
