Job summary

Peel Recruitment and Training Solutions Ltd seeks a Project Manager to lead sprinkler projects in the Manchester area. You will run initiation, programme production, client liaison, and downstream duties from documentation through to final accounts.

The role requires on-site leadership, experience with large budgets, and relevant certifications (SMSTS, CSCS, LPCB modules). A detailed knowledge of safety and quality processes is essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of BS EN 12845 and LPS1048 schemes.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• LPCB Testing & Commissioning Module 2 competent.
• LPCB Site Inspection Module 1 competent.
• Familiar with Prince 2 project management methodologies.
• Experience in managing complex, large budget projects in construction.
• Practised at management of on-site labour & resources.
• SMSTS & CSCS Card Holder.
• Knowledge of CDM Management Principles.
• Extensive knowledge of RAMs, Quality Plans, Project Plans, CTC, Trackers.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Commercial acumen - identifies and maximises project cost savings.

Responsibilities

• Lead project initiation and handover meetings with Sales, Design, QS.
• Produce and maintain project programme.
• Communicate with clients throughout the life of a project.
• Maintain central project file records.
• Attend internal Cost To Complete meetings.
• Prepare end-of-project documentation (O&M, As-Fitted Drawings, Certification).
• Brief installers and ensure competence to meet requirements.
• Raise PORs with Tier 1 suppliers.
• Manage on-site resources to keep the programme.
• Participate in internal and third-party audits.
• Record and resolve supplier non-conformities.
• Consult with subject matter experts as needed.
• Handle material and labour cost management.
• Identify and invoice variations to contract.
• Raise final accounts.
• Record on-site inspections per schedule (H&S RAMs etc).
• Facilitate toolbox talks.
• Complete H&S documentation.

Can you deliver sprinkler projecfts on time and to budget?

I am looking or a PM to just that or a well knows company in the fire industry.

What you will be doing

• Leading project Initiation/handover meetings with all stakeholders including Sales, Design, QS.
• Production and maintenance of project programme.
• Communication with clients throughout the life of a project.
• Maintenance of central project file records.
• Attendance at internal project Cost To Complete (CTC) meetings.
• Completion and submission to relevant stakeholders of all end-of-project documentation e.g. O&M, As-Fitted Drawings, Certification.
• Ensuring installers are adequately briefed, are competent & qualified to fulfill all project requirements.
• Raising PORs using authorised Tier 1 suppliers.
• Supporting and managing of on-site resources ensuring all issues are resolved and the programme maintained.
• Participating with internal & third party audits.
• Identifying, recording & ensuring the resolution of any supplier generated non-conformities.
• Consulting with subject matter experts where required.
• Management of material and labour costs.
• Identification and invoicing of variations to contract.
• Raising of final accounts.
• Undertaking & recording on-site inspections in accordance with EHS001 scheduled frequency.
• Facilitating on-site toolbox talks.
• Completion of all H&S related documentation Inc. RAMs, attendance sheets etc.

What we will need from you (all essential)

• Working knowledge of BS EN 12845 & LPS1048 Schemes.
• Working knowledge of engineering drawings.
• LPCB Testing & Commissioning Module 2 Competent.
• LPCB Site Inspection Module 1 Competent.
• Familiarity with the principles of Prince 2 project management methodologies.
• Experience in managing complex, large budget projects in the construction industry.
• Practiced at management of on-site labour & resources.
• Valid SMSTS & CSCS Card Holder.
• Knowledge of CDM Management Principles.
• Extensive knowledge of production of project documentation eg. RAMs, Quality Plans, Project Plans, Cost Sheets (CTC), Trackers.
• Familiarity with all standard MS office applications
• Commercial acumen - Identifies and maximises project cost savings.
