Job summary

Peel Recruitment & Training Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead project initiation, develop and maintain programmes, and liaise with clients throughout the lifecycle. You will ensure compliance, manage on-site teams, and coordinate documentation from RAMs to final accounts.

The role requires substantial construction project experience, CSC/SMSTS credentials, and solid knowledge of BS EN 12845 & LPS1048 schemes.

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of BS EN 12845 & LPS1048 schemes.
  • Understanding of engineering drawings.
  • LPCB Testing & Commissioning Module 2 competence.
  • LPCB Site Inspection Module 1 competence.
  • Familiarity with Prince 2 project management methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project initiation and handover meetings with stakeholders incl. Sales, Design, QS.
  • Produce and maintain project programme.
  • Communicate with clients throughout project life cycle.
  • Maintain central project file records.
  • Attend internal Cost To Complete (CTC) meetings.
  • Complete and submit end-of-project documentation (O&M, As-Fitted Drawings, Certification).
  • Ensure installers are briefed, competent, and qualified.
  • Raise PORs with Tier 1 suppliers.
  • Manage on-site resources to keep programme on track.
  • Participate in internal & third-party audits.
  • Record and resolve supplier non-conformities.
  • Consult with subject matter experts as required.
  • Manage material and labour costs.
  • Identify and invoice variations to contract.
  • Raise final accounts.
  • Undertake on-site inspections per RAMs schedule.
  • Facilitate on-site toolbox talks.
  • Complete all H&S related documentation (RAMs, attendance sheets).

Job description

What you will be doing


  • Leading project Initiation/handover meetings with all stakeholders including Sales, Design, QS.

  • Production and maintenance of project programme.

  • Communication with clients throughout the life of a project.

  • Maintenance of central project file records.

  • Attendance at internal project Cost To Complete (CTC) meetings.

  • Completion and submission to relevant stakeholders of all end-of-project documentation e.g. O&M, As-Fitted Drawings, Certification.

  • Ensuring installers are adequately briefed, are competent & qualified to fulfill all project requirements.

  • Raising PORs using authorised Tier 1 suppliers.

  • Supporting and managing of on-site resources ensuring all issues are resolved and the programme maintained.

  • Participating with internal & third party audits.

  • Identifying, recording & ensuring the resolution of any supplier generated non-conformities.

  • Consulting with subject matter experts where required.

  • Management of material and labour costs.

  • Identification and invoicing of variations to contract.

  • Raising of final accounts.

  • Undertaking & recording on-site inspections in accordance with EHS001 scheduled frequency.

  • Facilitating on-site toolbox talks.

  • Completion of all H&S related documentation Inc. RAMs, attendance sheets etc.


What we will need from you (all essential)


  • Working knowledge of BS EN 12845 & LPS1048 Schemes.

  • Working knowledge of engineering drawings.

  • LPCB Testing & Commissioning Module 2 Competent.

  • LPCB Site Inspection Module 1 Competent.

  • Familiarity with the principles of Prince 2 project management methodologies.

  • Experience in managing complex, large budget projects in the construction industry.

  • Practiced at management of on-site labour & resources.

  • Valid SMSTS & CSCS Card Holder.

  • Knowledge of CDM Management Principles.

  • Extensive knowledge of production of project documentation eg. RAMs, Quality Plans, Project Plans, Cost Sheets (CTC), Trackers.

  • Familiarity with all standard MS office applications

  • Commercial acumen - Identifies and maximises project cost savings.
