Job summary

Fulcrum Engineering is seeking Fire Sprinkler Systems Install Fitters and Improver/Semi-Skilled & Mates for sites around Farnborough, Guildford, Reading, Slough and London.

You will work on installation, service and commissioning of fire suppression and sprinkler systems, fabricating pipework 6–12 mm and fitting mist heads, using hand bending where required, and performing QC checks.

Qualifications

• Must have CSCS Card and IPAF 3a/3b.
• Skilled: C&G or NVQ Pipe/Sprinkler Fitting with 5+ years experience.
• Semi-skilled: 2+ years site install experience.
• Ideally Pipe Fitting or Plumbing qualifications or part qualification.

Responsibilities

• Install and fit Fire Sprinkler systems and pipework.
• Service, commissioning and testing of systems.
• Fabricate and install pipework 6–12 mm with compression fittings.
• Operate access platforms and perform QC checks on completed work.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas and use PPE as required.

Covering Farnborough, Guildford, Reading, Slough, London area Sites

We are recruiting personnel at all levels and covering similar roles,

Job Title = Fire Sprinkler Systems Install Fitters & Improver/Semi Skilled & Mates

Number Required = 1 - 2 + each

Duties Skilled Engineers & Techs = Working on Installation Work &

Service and Commissioning Work of Fire Suppression & Sprinkler Systems

Then mainly working on installation & fitting of Fire Sprinkler Systems

Including fabricating & fitting pipework 6 - 12 mm with compression fittings then fitting of mist heads which will require hand pipe bending as required.

Then other work as required on Servicing work completing PPM checks on installed running operational systems & Commissioning Systems.

Checking completed work QC Checks & Pipework Tests

Other work such as fabrication & installing new modified pipework to drawings or site run work.

Working on 1/2 - 2 inch screwed & maypress pipework & 2 - 4 inch flanged & welded pipework.

Duties Semi Skilled & Mates = Assisting Skilled Engineers/Fitter with installation of

Fire Sprinkler Pipework, brackets from engineering drawings.

Operating Mobile Platforms Scissor Lifts & Cherry Pickers

Assisting with QC Checks & Pipe Tests

Keeping work areas clean & tidy.

Qual Certs & Safety Cards Required ? =

Must have current CSCS Card & IPAF 3a, 3b Card

Semi Skilled Mates = 2 + Years Site Install Experience

Hours = 0700 to 1700 45 to 55 + hours Mon to Fri as required

Also might work 0600 or 0700 to 1330 Sat as required

Term = Temp Contract Long Term 13 + to 26 + weeks

Pay Temp Contract Skilled = £26 + per Hr up to 60 Hrs Sat £31 per Hr Sun £35 per Hr CIS Basis

Depending on Skills/Quals Improver or Semi Skilled = £21 + Mates = £18 + Hr CIS Basis
