Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming secondary school in Wigan for a Sports Teaching Assistant to support students in the classroom and PE, helping them build confidence, resilience and a positive attitude to learning.

Ideal candidates include Teaching Assistants, Sports Graduates or Coaches seeking hands-on experience in education. The role is part-time, term-time only, with flexibility and ongoing consultant support from Milk Education.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support to students with additional needs.
• Assisting teachers across the wider curriculum when required.
• Supporting extracurricular sports clubs, enrichment activities, and school events.
• Acting as a positive role model and mentor for students.
