Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting a Sports Graduate to support pupils in a secondary school in Gateshead/Whickham and surrounding areas. The role is long or short-term with temp-to-perm opportunities, starting in September.

You will work within an inclusive school focused on wellbeing and student potential. Responsibilities include one-to-one and group pupil support, assisting with catch-up sessions, and helping teachers adapt resources.

Qualifications

• Degree in Sport, Sports Science, Physical Education or related subject.
• Experience working with children or young people through coaching, mentoring, volunteering or similar settings.
• Strong communication, teamwork and leadership skills.
• Comfortable taking direction from the class teacher and working as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils one-to-one and in small groups, responding to their individual needs.
• Helping deliver catch-up sessions and activities to support pupils' confidence and engagement.
• Supporting teachers with classroom activities and adapting resources where appropriate.
• Promoting an accepting, inclusive classroom where every student feels they belong.
