Job description

Hours: 8.30am to 3.30pm – 5 days per week

We are working with schools across PLYMOUTH who are seeking full-time Teaching Assistants with a background in Sports. Those who are keen to support with PE and Forest School would be desirable!

We work with a large trust that has multiple schools including those in Plymouth, Launceston, Liskeard, and Tavistock.

It would be a great advantage to have experience with children with additional needs!

THOSE WITH A UK DRIVING LICENSE AND OWN CAR ARE PREFERRED!

Responsibilities:
  1. Guide students as a Teaching Assistant, offering personalised guidance and support.
  2. Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to develop comprehensive support plans.
  3. Support outdoor education, forest school, and PE activities.
  4. Foster a nurturing environment that promotes social interactions and communication skills.
  5. Assist with daily tasks, academic activities, and implement interventions to address behaviour challenges and promote positive outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Effective communication abilities to ensure clear interactions.
  • Applicants holding a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle will be prioritised.
  • Demonstrated patience and empathy, along with flexibility and adaptability.
