Sports Teaching Assistant / The Role:
The TA for Sports will lead and support PE lessons. You will teach a wide range of learning needs throughout the school, working with secondary-aged pupils. Pupils have special needs, so a talented coach is required to adapt lessons, be flexible, and creative in planning Physical Education lessons. You will be teaching Sports, Movement, and Physical Education Curriculum designed for students who face barriers to learning, many of whom may have been excluded from previous schools due to behavioural issues. You will encourage students to explore their sporting skills while emphasizing soft skills such as teamwork and discipline, which can benefit their wider schooling experience. You must be a positive and energetic leader, able to engage with children and build positive relationships. You should be a role model capable of providing guidance to these young people and working towards positive outcomes in their studies.

They provide education to children aged 4-16 years with complex special needs, including Autism, Severe Learning Difficulties, and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties. They have an excellent team working together to provide a safe and secure learning environment. Student behaviour is well managed, and students have made above-average progress in the past year. The facilities include sensory rooms and a hydrotherapy swimming pool.
