We are seeking a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant for KS1 through KS2 who has experience supporting students with additional needs within the classroom. Your role will involve working closely with the class teacher to ensure students receive the necessary support, promote independence, and encourage social inclusion. You will be responsible for creating a stimulating and motivating learning environment, collaborating with a supportive department that values teamwork and shared planning to ensure consistency and best practices across classrooms.
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting students with additional needs, confidence in teaching and planning, familiarity with the current curriculum, and the ability to implement behavioural and emotional management strategies. They should be proactive in resource planning to help students achieve their goals and understand the support needed for various year groups. Candidates must also be committed to safeguarding and willing to undergo all necessary background checks, including an enhanced Child Workforce DBS check.
All applicants must have appropriate qualifications and training. Teaching Personnel is dedicated to safeguarding children and will conduct checks in accordance with 'Keeping Children Safe in Education'. We provide free child protection and prevent duty training to all registered candidates. Pay rates include statutory holiday pay, and this position is initially temporary with potential for permanent placement.
