University of Portsmouth is seeking a role within the Sports Operations Team to ensure the safety of indoor and outdoor sports facilities and provide excellent customer service. Your duties include lifeguarding, first aid/water rescue, cleaning, and moving equipment as needed.

The position is on-site only with a pattern of early/late/weekend shifts, and a DBS check is required. The interviews are anticipated to be held on Thursday 12 November 2026.

Qualifications

• Lifeguarding and first aid skills essential.
• Experience in customer-led service environments.
• Ability to move equipment and maintain cleanliness.
• DBS check is required for this post.

Responsabilités

• Maintain a safe environment in indoor and outdoor sport facilities.
• Provide immediate water rescue when required and assist with first aid.
• Deliver high-quality customer service and welcome users.
• Cover other operational tasks as needed per rota.
